"A short hike to see views of Alta. In my opinion, Alta as a cruise stop has nothing much to see apart from the cathedral. But since am a runner and hiker, the Komso is a good spot to walk to. I walked from the cruise port to this place early morning. It's a good route to run too. It will be trail like once you reached the base of the mountain and some parts can be wet. My running shoes are still fairly clean after the hike BTW. There are other run routes at the base of the mountain.

"A very short, easy hike. From the free parking lot, the hike is about 1.5 km long and climbs 150 meters to Komsatoppen. It's very well signposted (green arrows every few meters). From there, you have a fantastic view of Alta."
