What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Narvikfjellet Cable Car for its absolutely spectacular and mesmerizing views of Narvik, the fjord, and the mountains, making it a highly recommended experience. The summit restaurant also receives positive mentions for its food and ambiance. However, some travelers have noted issues with online ticket purchases and the importance of checking operational status due to potential weather-related closures.
"Reached the cable car location on a group tour of Lofoten-Narvik-Tromsø. It was early December and approx. 1500 hrs, which wasn’t the best season or time to visit.
Still, it was an experience to take in the city lights in the dark as the gondola (each can carry up to ten passengers) made its way up to the top. It was a chilly -3°C, but felt even colder due to the constant wind 🥶.
I believe the sights would be more worth the ride up in spring/summer, as can be seen in the photos of other reviews."
Jonathan Chua
"100% worth the price. Which came to 1000 NOK/ $100 USD for 2 adults and a child. The views are spectacular on the ride up and walking around up top. Excellent photo opportunities. The restaurant up top served up an excellent burger. Beer, soda and juices are available for purchase as well."
Brian Cummings
"Really a must do! The view from the gondola and the mountain is spectacular. Especially with the autumn colors it’s really magnificent. I enjoyed to bike down. Also the staff were very friendly."
