What would you consider 'essential' hiking gear?
What the title says. I am traveling to Norway in may, and will be starting on my bigger hikes around the 24th. I was wondering what gear I should plan on packing, or buying while I am over there. I'm not looking for the latest and greatest solar whatever, tents, or the best…

"A museum, cafe, climbing centre? We didn't enter due to excursion timing, but the exterior certainly caught our attention."
Graham Tranter
"We found the museum really insightful. The staff is very friendly and the exhibition has some interacting areas.
I found very interesting the explanation on how gear for climbers evolved throughout the years and how it developed. Inside there is also a climbing wall you can use and the price is included in the ticket.
We also watched the documentary about trolls and mountains and that was interesting as well. I would definitely recommend this when visiting Andalsnes."
