This is both a summer and winter destination for all interests and age groups. Rørosmartnan and the Christmas market are two large and well-known trade events in the winter. The Femundløpet in February and the Bergstadkuppen in June are two large sports events. Several music events take place during the year. For those interested in the outdoors, there are great opportunities with many miles of trails on bare ground and nice groomed ski slopes during the ski season.
