Reviews Summary

Tawi Ateer Sinkhole is praised for its stunning natural beauty and impressive scale, offering a unique geological wonder. Visitors appreciate the raw, untouched landscape and the striking blue-green waters. However, the lack of facilities, including restrooms and dining options, and the challenging navigation to reach the site are common drawbacks.

"Great scenic view. It has a nice park. No restaurants near by so need to carry your food, snacks n water. Toilets are in terrible state. Hygiene concern overall Oman. No place to change if your get in the sink hole."

Sheetal Gaikwad

"Do not follow Google Map direction. It will be the wrong way. Instead turn right to a dead end road before “Abouelkhir Cave “ marked on google map. This is a very “raw” sinkhole. Nothing much to see. You park at the end of the road; there’s a paved pathway leading down to a short stairways which is the lookout point to the sinkhole. There’s a rugged path down to the sinkhole but there’s a sign board saying “ For your safety, please don’t pass the safety fence”. That’s all. When we were here on 4 Mar 2025, it is very dry.
Note : some reviews posted here shows blue stairways leadings down where swimming is allowed ; but that is another “Bimmah Sinkhole” in a park. Not this raw sinkhole."

Jon Ng

"Its deep whole ,no much to see .however if you would like to hike down to the bottom you meed to be prepared with your hike boots and mosquito cream or any inscat body spray...the terrine is slippery and muddy specially at monsoon season.
Wasn't that easy according to me ."
