What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Aguas Calientes Cascades a beautiful and refreshing natural spot, often described as 'magical' and 'unexpectedly magical.' The easy walk and the opportunity for a cool dip are highlights, with many appreciating the combined ticket that includes access to the thermal baths for relaxation, especially during sunset. However, some feel the entrance fee is a bit high for the short duration of the cascade visit itself, and the area can get crowded.
"An awesome waterfall 15 minutes from town worth getting the ticket for the baths at the same because you have to go past the baths to get to the waterfall anyway. Easy walk no fitness required but it’s a small area so a crowd can build up really easily.
I strongly recommend going in the late afternoon so that you can head into the baths at the end of the day where the biggest crowd is there, for the social aspect, and you get to see sunset."

"Nice little waterfall to kill time in Aguas Calientes. Debatable on whether it's worth 15 soles per person (excludes price for the stinky thermal baths)."
Matthew Rue
"Unexpectedly magical, the best cold meditation on my life.
Level 3 of difficulty on the access, 25 min walking from the main Aguascalientes's square, totally worth the hike, we went there by 9am there was no one around at low season."
