Cadapdapan Rice Terraces are in East Bohol in a region known as Candijay. While 90% of tourists stay on Panglao island in the West of Bohol and where most popular tourist attractions are found, East Bohol offers a unique adventure in a part of the island that hasn’t been overly influenced by tourism. #traveldeck • • • • • • • • •

Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the Cadapdapan Rice Terraces, calling them a must-visit and one of Bohol's top spots. The picturesque scenery, especially from the hilltop viewpoint, is a major draw. Many appreciate the opportunity to support local guides and enjoy the tranquility of East Bohol. Some note that the terraces are relatively small compared to other famous ones, but the overall experience, including the nearby waterfall, is highly positive.

"Rice terraces are a nice activity to do here, a short walk up a small hill to a cool viewing area.

Guide spoke good English and was knowledgeable, no need to book just turn up and guides are waiting."

"Must visit! One of my top 3 spots in Bohol. Also you have the amazing waterfall nearby.
Make sure to take the 10-15 minutes walk to the top of the hill with a local guide. On one hand this way you support the local economy for a small tip (which you decide how much) but the view from there is a lot more beautiful than from the parking lot/road side."

Ottó Sebestyén

"Relatively small wet rice cultivation area in a hilly terrain. Terraces are certainly picturesque, mostly when the rice is young or the terraces have just been irrigated; there are however quite a few other, picturesque and scenic rice fields scattered over the southwestern parts of Bohol.
The restaurant is quite good; staff will offer to call a local guide who can show you good photo spots and answer questions in fluent English.
Check the photos to see what the terraces will look like in different months; Dec thru Feb or August, September offer more attractive views than May and June."
