Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Bakhawan Eco-Park for its serene natural beauty and the immersive experience of walking through the mangrove forest. The staff are noted as accommodating, and the park is a great spot for nature lovers. However, some find the entrance fee a bit high for foreigners, and the wooden pathways require caution due to wear and tear, making it less ideal for very young children or seniors.

"Very nice and quiet place perfect for nature lovers. Staffs are very accommodating. The pathways were a bit worn down but its walkable. Paid ₱150/person for non-Aklanon."

Reuel Gilead Glorioso

"I recently visited this eco park with my mother, a senior citizen, and while the scenery was absolutely superb, there are a few things to keep in mind. The best time to go is either very early in the morning or late in the afternoon, as the sun can be extremely hot during midday.

While the park offers a great adventure and a peaceful 1.2km walk surrounded by nature, it may not be the best option for kids or seniors. The pathways, made of bamboo bridges, require maintenance—some nails were sticking out, which could be a safety concern.

That said, if you're up for an adventure and a quiet escape into nature, this place is still worth a visit. Just be sure to wear comfortable shoes and take extra caution while walking!"

Joanna Lardizabal

"This Ecopark is a great way to see the mangrove project & learn a bit about it. The bamboo walkway is a bit rough in places, but maintenance was ongoing while we were there. A bit pricey for foreigners at 120 pesos a person, but a nice way to kill time in Kalibo."
