What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Alona Beach is a lively and convenient destination with beautiful sand and clear waters, offering a vibrant nightlife and numerous dining options. However, some visitors find it overdeveloped, crowded, and note concerns about cleanliness and boat traffic impacting swimming. The pushy touts for island hopping tours are also a common point of mention.
"Alona Beach has quite a few modern resorts and restaurants in the area, which makes it convenient and lively. The only downside is that some people can be a bit pushy in offering island hopping packages. My husband ended up availing one and it was a nice experience, although quite expensive since we rented the boat exclusively for just the two of us and the tour guides lol."

"Alona Beach is lively and bustling, but cleanliness could be improved. The shoreline is filled with boats, and the area is very commercialized. If you’re looking for some party vibes, Alona is a good choice. But if you prefer peace and serenity, Dumaluan Beach is the better spot."

"Alona Beach in Panglao, Bohol is truly a paradise. The white sand, clear blue waters, and relaxing vibe make it a perfect spot to unwind, swim, or simply enjoy the view.
It is also very Instagrammable. Every corner of the beach is picture-perfect, with palm trees, turquoise waves, and a vibrant tropical atmosphere that makes it easy to take beautiful photos.
The only downside is that the public restroom is quite far, which can be a little inconvenient. But there are plenty of fast food places and restaurants nearby, and many of them have their own restrooms, so it is still a convenient place to spend the day.
Overall, it is a beautiful and refreshing destination that I would definitely recommend if you are visiting Bohol."
