What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Liwliwa Beach is praised for its budget-friendly accommodations and laid-back surf vibe, making it a popular spot for backpackers and surfers. However, some visitors find the beach to be dirty and noisy, especially on weekends, with concerns about ATVs and a lack of beach etiquette. Connectivity issues and potential extra charges at resorts are also noted drawbacks.
"Overrated beach. Dirty and noisy. Worse on weekends. The crowd simply doesnt know beach etiquette. ATV running around doesnt give this place a good vibe. Good for budget travelers. You get what you paid for. People who come here are mostly budget travelers. Trash on the beach is everywhere."

"This is a review for their restaurant Talisay since we didn't stay at the resort. What the other reviews said were true, there's a fee for everything, and phone signal is atrocious. To skip the entrance fee, you can dine in at the restaurant with a time limit of 2 hours from when your food was served, which is what my group did. They had an electric outlet so I charged my phone, that's why no pictures of the food, sorry. We ordered our food as "take out" so we could enjoy them outside the restaurant dining area and down by the beach. The Meaty Spaghetti was a big serving good as a snack for 2 people or 1 hungry meal. Lechon Kawali was also surprising in size, and well cooked. The butter chicken was 3 pieces, and I can't tell if they used butter or margarine but it was tasty and cooked through. Their drinks of iced coffee and juice with sinkers were good too. They also have service water by the restaurant, just bring a bottle."

"We recently stayed at Limliwa Beach Resort, and while the place itself has its charm, there are some things to note.
First off, the staff were very helpful and friendly, which we appreciated throughout our stay. They were accommodating and polite, which made our experience smoother in many ways.
However, one major downside was the internet situation. There is absolutely no mobile signal across all networks, so if you’re expecting to stay connected, prepare yourself. The resort does have Wi-Fi, but unfortunately, it’s not accessible to guests. It’s only available at the canteen area, and they’re quite strict about not sharing the password. There is a designated Wi-Fi spot near the check-in area, but it’s not a comfortable place to hang out just to get online.
Despite this, we still managed to have fun and make the most out of the beach and our time together. The environment is peaceful, and the beach is nice for relaxing or taking photos.
That said, because of the poor connectivity and the limited access to basic digital amenities, I wouldn't come back. It’s a decent place for a one-time visit, but not for those who need even minimal internet access during their stay."
