What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the refreshing beauty of El Kabayo Falls, describing the water as cold and invigorating, perfect for swimming. The surrounding forest is noted for its biodiversity, and the local community is praised for their friendliness and willingness to share cultural insights. Some mention the trail can be muddy and rocky, requiring careful footing.
"Pretty easy 10-minute hike to see the falls, albeit muddy and rocky in places. We walked in during a pretty dry week without rain and the trail was very muddy in spots. Not a hard walk just a bit slippery and rocky at times.
After 10 minutes, you hear the falls. There’s a staircase going down to the 2 sets of falls. The first falls to the left looks like the one they jump into but since we were the only ones there, I was not going to try and jump into the pool of water below. You can get down there by using some ropes the locals have Jerry-rigged but not sure how secure they are. The other falls to the right also have a pool of water. The water was cold and a bit rocky getting but very refreshing. The rushing water is strong enough to let you swim and not move in place."

"I had a great time and enjoyed the nature specially with the kids Kian and Alak as my guide. They definitely know a lot and are very much willing to share everything they know. It was definitely fun! I hope they can further develop this treasure. I’ll definitely go back and hopefully bring my family as well."

"This place is spectacular. The falls were stunning and so picturesque to swim in. The locals were very friendly and open to sharing their unique and lovely culture- make sure to say Hi to Nanay Erlinda, Nanay Marilyn, Tatay Carlito, or Kuya Matteo if you see them there!!!
The food was also delicious and very fresh, most of it using produce from the forest itself. The forest is incredibly biodiverse and you can find all sorts of things there! The local guides are super friendly and will teach you lots of things.
Everyone should come visit these falls once they've got the chance "
