Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Zagórz Carmelite Monastery Ruins to be a beautifully serene and historically significant site, often described as eerie and atmospheric. While some note areas could use better maintenance, the free entry, stunning views from the tower, and nearby excellent restaurant are frequently praised. The site's reputation for paranormal activity adds to its unique appeal.
"Eerie old monastery, walls are still standing, and you can enter and view the building from the inside. We went there late, you might call it a castle.. you might call it haunted.
Beautiful location on the hill and the restaurant next door had good report from the local Polak we were staying with. There is also a small eatery that looked inviting on the left side of the road on the way up."

"nice place. sanctuary is under construction and you cannot go inside the actual ruins like you used to. 5 pln for viewing tower and quite a bit more for a movie and vr experience (20 mins total). movie had subtitles in english but vr did not which was difficult to translate for non-Polish guests. not worth the money for the movie and interactive things in my opinion, but viewpoint is worth it. new restaurant is excellent and is reasonably priced. service was outstanding too!"

"Nicely kept ruins but the whole monastery grounds aren't maintained very well. There's a lot of trash and cut but not gathered grass. There's no entry fee, but you can buy a postcard if you want to support the monastery. Tower has a nice view of the surroundings."
