Reviews Summary

Carcavelos Beach is celebrated for its expansive golden sands and lively atmosphere, making it a top choice for beach lovers near Lisbon. While the Atlantic waters are refreshingly cool, the beach offers excellent conditions for surfing and other water sports. Visitors appreciate the easy train access and the convenience of nearby amenities, though it can get crowded during peak times.

"The beach is stunning, with clean sands stretching for miles and crystal-clear waters shimmer in the sunlight. It's an impeccably clean destination, perfect for soaking up the sun while lounging on the warm sand. The inviting ocean was irresistible not to try for a refreshing swim, offering a delightful escape as waves roll in. This idyllic spot is truly a paradise for beach lovers."

Gosia J

"Very easy to access from Lisboa by the train; also very affordable to go. The beach goes all the way, so you can manage to find a spot for yourself even though it is crowded.
The beach has light colored sand. You can enjoy the sun on the beach, swim, or even try surfing. There are several surf schools here or places that you can just rent a surfboard.
There are also some private beaches there, they seem to be mostly empty."

Ekin

"Best to get there by car. The beach is too narrow. The water gets too deep too soon for small kids to play inside . Also the water was abit too cold for summer time. Otherwise it was clean, clean bathrooms available nearby and also not so crowded."
