Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Cabo da Roca for its breathtaking, dramatic scenery and its status as the 'end of Europe.' The powerful Atlantic winds and stunning sunset views are frequently highlighted as unforgettable experiences. However, some find it can be very crowded, especially at sunset, and the limited facilities might be a drawback for some.

"Amazing place! It really gives you the vibe of the end of the world. Feels so unreal to be here. Definitely should visit! Note the wind could be quite strong here and a bit chilly even during the summer. And do be careful don't fall down the cliff (not all the places have safety nets). Very lovely to take a walk here, definitely want to visit again."

CHIN

"Stunning viewpoint that is the west-most point in continental Europe. It’s a must visit if you come to Sintra since it’s only about 40 minute bus ride. The roads leading up to it can be winding but the view is worth it.

My one advice is to bring a jacket or wear warm clothing because it’s much colder than you would think. It’s very very windy and it can be foggy.

We had to wait about an hour to fog to clear up and the waiting definitely paid off."

Scott Lee

"Fantastic views of the Atlantic Ocean! Very busy but still enjoyable and we were able to take our photos by the Monument showing we were at the furthest west point of the European continent. Enjoyable safe walk (keeping to the rules) along the cliff tops."
