"Maritime fort in the Cascais area. I loved getting to know it and imagining its history. I would love to visit it more often and maybe one day exhibit my work. I love this type of construction because they defend the sea, which is the theme that inspires me the most."

"Stunning hidden gem. The location, the views, the walls. My new favourite building in Portugal. Also interesting if you are into history and they were hosting art exhibition about the ocean."
Sasha Lubcenko
"Amazing place on the coast with historic relevance and an impressive site to relax. This Fort is one of many structures that were originally built to defend the newly created Portugal. Over centuries, this and other forts were adapted. This one served as a military school at some point in time and President Salazar spent a lot of time here - like each year a certain period. It was also here where he dropped of his chair and never recovered fully (i.e. the end of his reign and the end of Portugal's Fascist Dictatorship era started here)."
