Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the profound spiritual atmosphere and the historical significance of the Museum of the Sanctuary of Fátima. The collection of artifacts, particularly those related to Pope John Paul II, is a major highlight. While the site can be very crowded, especially during peak times, the overall experience is described as deeply moving and worthwhile for both pilgrims and curious travelers.

"The Museum is a must see while you are here! We loved the video that told the story of Our Lady of Fatima and the 3 shepherd children. Then to see all of the amazing artifacts was incredible! We especially loved seeing the original crown with the bullet that was pulled from Pope St. John Paul II after the assassination attempt on his life. There were things from all over the world that had been donated, several from JPII himself. There were relics, beautiful monstrances, crucifixes, rosaries, chalices and more! The entire tour wasn't too long either, it left plenty of time to still observe other things. They also made sure to give you a tour in your specific language, which was so helpful! I'm not sure if the video is offered in other languages though, but there was subtitles that i would guess could be changed depending on what language you speak! We loved our tour and the lovely sister who was our guide. Worth it for sure!"

"The Sanctuary of Fatima Museum was established in 1955. The Museum has two permanent exhibitions – "Fatima Light and Peace" and the House-Museum in Aljustrel – and organizes temporary exhibitions that present pilgrims and visitors to Fatima with material evidence related to the message of Fatima, the development of the Sanctuary, and the spread of devotion to Our Lady of Fatima around the world."

Tobiasz R

"The museum is worth a visit and costs only 2 euros. It has many religious gifts and articles like gifts from people and Popes. It has the bullet hit to Pope John Paul II. It tells the history of the shrine."
