What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors are generally impressed by the artistry and detail of the sand sculptures, finding Sand City to be a unique and enjoyable experience, especially for families. While many appreciate the reasonable entry price and on-site amenities like a cafe, some note that a few sculptures could benefit from restoration.
"Really don't get the negative/low star reviews! You can't please everyone I guess, people just seem to have no real understanding or appreciation for the time and work that goes into creating such amazing pieces of artwork! The entrance price is more than reasonable too. It was super hot today when we visited, but there are plenty of little shaded areas dotted about with benches or chairs. We did it in parts and stopped every so often for a break in the shade and to have a drink. There are lovely little areas with hanging chairs and hammocks, etc and a nice little café to buy a drink and snack once you're done. Also, the added bonus of toilets too! The sand sculptures were absolutely amazing. The detail on some of them was incredible! We thoroughly enjoyed our morning out, so thank you very much!
If you do go on a hot day, definitely take plenty of water for walking around. We took some cold baby wipes too which were handy."

"4/5 Stars
It’s a really impressive place to visit the only downside is there was quite a few that really needed a good repair and freshen up a good 80% of the sculptures look really details and bang on although there’s a handful that really are not up to the standards of some of the others.
Have a nice little cafe on site that has some good food options and decent prices a lot of seating. When I attended the park was really quiet not many visitors and you can take your time and there’s plenty of seating.
It’s something worth seeing but not something worth doing more than once."

"Really nice and big area with a ton of sand sculptures displayed!
Only downside - and that deducts at least a star, maybe even two - many of the sculptures seem very tired and damaged and are in need of some restoration.
Nevertheless, this place has a lot of well made sand sculptures with many details and almost any person, character you can think off, you will find here 👍"
