"Praia Beach is a real gem! The sand is golden, the water is crystal clear, and it has a lovely mix of quiet spots and areas with a bit more buzz.
One of the best features is the tunnel that takes you through the rock to the other side – it feels like a little adventure and opens up to another stretch of beautiful coastline.
Great for photos, a bit of exploring, and enjoying something a little different.
Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!"

"Really nice and quiet beach - a little small, but location is great and you can have a nice walk along the riffs surrounding the beach area. It is a little tricky to walk down the narrow stairs to get to the beach, so watch your steps.
Definitely worth a visit to come here and bonus tip - a small little church at the end, where you also find a lot of parking, if you come by car."

"Excellent beach, clean, broad and long, with good access via stairs. No services (no WC) so bring your own. Gorgeous view of surrounding cliffs, tiny church up top. Great place to escape crowds (if you like), although in summer, might be a zoo. December 2024, nobody there, just you and seagulls."

Exploring Praia Nova's Unique Access
Beyond the tunnel, the descent to the beach involves navigating narrow stairs. While this adds to the secluded feel, it's important to be cautious, especially if you're carrying beach gear or have young children. This slightly challenging access contributes to Praia Nova often being less crowded than more easily accessible beaches, making it a rewarding find for those willing to explore a little.
The Natural Beauty and Vibe of Praia Nova
The beach is also noted for being clean and free from excessive algae or rocks, making it pleasant for lounging and swimming. While the ocean water is refreshingly cold, it's a welcome sensation under the Algarve sun. The presence of a small church at the cliff's edge offers not only a landmark but also a vantage point for stunning views over the coastline.
