Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the Jardim Botânico de Lisboa as a serene and beautiful escape within the city. Many highlight its diverse plant collection and the peaceful atmosphere. Some note that it can get busy on free Sunday mornings, and parking can be a challenge.

"Completely free entrance on Sundays from 10 am to 1 pm!
Beautiful garden, it takes time to see every place of it. You can see cactus, palm, and eucalyptus trees and different sorts of flowers! It was a chilly experience when the weather was very hot."

Ekin

"I visited the Lisbon Botanic Garden and it was a peaceful green escape in the heart of the city. I took so many beautiful photos of flowers and trees — sharing them here! On Sundays from 9am to 1pm, entry is free for Portuguese citizens and legal residents. Totally worth a slow, mindful stroll."

Esrf G

"I visited on a very rainy day and it was still incredibly pleasant. There is free admission on Sunday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, which is a lovely time to try it out. But it is also worth an admission or donation if you are a garden lover. There is a small truck coffee/tea/pastry offering as you enter. The trees are incredible, and I love the wild nature of it. It isn’t overly trimmed or perfect. Rustic with winding paths, uneven stairs, and mossy overgrowth. Fountains, bridges, a small amphitheater. Trickling water and bird sounds. A true delight. I’ve always wanted to see a dragon tree and they actually have a few here. It’s also near the very nice Principe Real district with cafes, restaurants and shopping. I’ll be back to meander."
