📍🇧🇷 Praia da Joatinga One of the most stunning beaches in Rio De Janiero 🌺🦜 you can get here via uber or motor taxi around 30 minutes away from Ipanema It’s a bit of a hike down as you have to scramble through rocks and sometimes get splashed by waves so bring a bag to put your valuables in I’d also reccomend getting the number of a taxi to return as I lost phone signal leaving the beach #joat...

This little paradise is 36 km from Lisbon. The way there is not easy and has to be done on foot (wear good shoes) through a forest (the path is marked by signs on the stones). But believe me it will be worth it. The most important thing is not to leave your garbage there. 📍Ribeiro do cavalo beach, Sesimbra, Portugal Save & share if you like it 💓 #lisbon #lisbontips #praiadaribeiradocavalo #secre...

Reviews Summary

São Julião Beach is a stunning stretch of sand praised for its powerful waves, ideal for surfers, and its dramatic cliffside scenery. Visitors love the unique experience of exploring a hidden beach at low tide and the breathtaking coastal views from the cliffs. However, the strong currents can be a concern for non-swimmers, and access involves a rocky descent.

"Dogs are not allowed during high season. Technically, they are not allowed all year but there is some acceptance of it during the off season.

If you park up above you will need to walk down and across a tiny river on some rocks. Nothing tough but best not to bring anything heavy. Beautiful beach by the cliffs!"

"At first glance a nice beach but not exceptional. But at low tide it looks different: you can walk around a few rocks at a bottleneck and a long, lonely, breathtaking beach with cliffs opens up! But be careful to get back in time!"

Mav Rider

"Really tricky review. Should be 5 stars, just one thing dragged my score down.

Firstly, great beach full of surfers, surf school on site. Powerful waves, strong current, you can really feel it when you are stood in the sea. Need to be confident in sea waters.

Lovely sand, great for kids to play in.
Cafe at top of beach, you can also get food at otherside where surf school is.
Plenty of free parking.
Life guards on this beach.

When we arrived at 11.45am, there were a few dogs.
Bizarrely, there was some dog mess placed on two piles of stones. What is going on there!!?? That was the only downside of this beach."
