What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the breathtaking 360-degree views from Pico da Urze Viewpoint, especially the close-up perspective of Pico Mountain. While the roads can be challenging, many agree the stunning scenery is well worth the effort, whether you drive or hike.
"Difficult to access by car, but possible. Amazing cross island view, when skies are clear."
Joe Apponsah
"This "trail" can be done by car easily. We walked our way up from the main street in Sao Joao. It is a good 30 km round trip, took us 6 hours slow pace, took lots of pictures, very little shade and the path is asphalt all the way up. The view at the top is worth the ride, (I think by car would have been good enough). You'll have a very close look of the pico, 360 view includes the ocean, other islands, volcanic cones and pico."
Krystel Houle-Rheaume
"Nicer spots around the island that have better roads. The different roads we took were really busted for not really that compeling a view compared to the others we've seen on Pico."
