"Small but fun and interesting museum. The guide was passionate about the history of the region, and gave us an informative tour. Quirky collections of clay items from the last century, including mermaid and whale statuettes, clay masks, a clay rabbit nest and a beehive. Traditional religious items (misterios) are also on display, along with musical instruments. On the highest floor, you can learn all about the “circle of oranges” that propelled the Azorean economy in the early 19th century. The Staff are friendly and keen to give visitors a good experience. I went away with a much better understanding of the life on the island."
