"This was a late minute visit as we were passing by. It only costs short of 2 euros per adult (8lei) and free for kids.
The museum is large and well organised chronologically. There are many interesting artifacts and good displays although some of the humans look a bit scary.
The labelling is not always as informative as it could be with limited information in places, it could be extended or reviewed for anyone who wants to know more.
The museum shop is also very limited I what it can offer. A lost opportunity for the town hall to make some money if they were a bit more creative."

"Ticket is 10 lei (Feb2025)- you can pay by card. The building of the museum is nice and well-heated; phone pictures are permitted (no flash).
Unfortunately, the pre-historic exhibition is no longer shown (other than the famous skull), as the museum suffered a flooding accident few years ago, so the artifacts got put in depository and due to current lack of funding, are not being restored.
Everything else-from Roman era to the Ceaușescu period is shown interestingly, albeit modestly. All the signs and texts (except the glass display) is only in Romanian."
