What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Râmeș Monastery is praised for its serene atmosphere, historical significance, and the presence of sacred relics, including a miraculous icon. Visitors appreciate the friendly nuns and the peaceful, reflective environment. However, the challenging road conditions leading to the monastery are a recurring point of concern for some travelers.
"Interesting monastery - the only problem: the road that leads you there doesn't look very good anymore. Half of the road surface is gone and replaced by gravel.
The monastery itself is well maintained and nuns there are very friendly!
Also if you plan to go there, visit the Rameț Gorge! Bring some equipment for it though (water shoes, or other shoes that can get wet and have good grip)!"

"All you can find there is peace and quiet."

"Beautiful historical women's monastery from 14th century. Many saints' relics, and especially saints Peter and Paul."
