What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Bryansk Machine-Building Plant Museum to be an interesting venue with significant historical and natural exhibits, particularly the mammoth skeleton and taxidermy. However, many reviews highlight that the museum is in dire need of restoration, with exhibits showing wear, dust, and dampness, which detracts from the overall experience.
"Interesting exhibits, the mammoth skeleton alone is worth it! I really liked the reconstructions of various periods of evolutionary development of flora and animals on Earth, presented in miniatures behind glass. I recommend visiting it with children."
Анна Любецкая
"Overall, there's a local history museum, and that's the main thing. It's spread over two floors: the second, dedicated to the flora and fauna of the Bryansk region, as well as ancient times; the third, to the Great Patriotic War and the present day. There's also a planetarium on the third floor. And on the first floor, there's a small room with weapons, the so-called arsenal. Now for the bad news: despite the museum's central location, it's in dire need of restoration. All the exhibits are utterly worn, and dust, damp, and mold are everywhere. In short, it's desolate and depressing. It's a shame no one cares about it."

"A charming museum in a luxurious building, more befitting a cultural center. However, the museum is no slouch: children's clubs, groups, and hobby groups are available. There's even a planetarium.
On the second floor is an ethnographic section and a magnificent collection of stuffed animals (wild boars and desmans are included).
On the third floor is an exhibition from the beginning of Soviet power to the present day.
Everything is lively, interesting, and in good condition.
Children under 16 are free. Adult tickets can be paid by card."
