What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the Blue Abyss for its breathtaking panoramic views and the unique, clear waters of its rocky beach. The fragrant pine forest adds to the natural charm. However, the steep and rocky terrain requires sturdy footwear and careful navigation, and the beach can get crowded during peak times.
"The main thing is to go early in the morning, before there is a flow of people. The descent to the sea is a pleasure, carefully and with pleasure. If you plan to swim, then take shoes, the entry into the sea is smooth, but with large stones."

"To be in the vicinity of Gelendzhik and not fall into the blue abyss is a crime. Magnificent air of the pine forest + incredible views from the steep bank. And if you are not too lazy to go down the steep slope, your efforts will be rewarded with the clearest warm water and an uncrowded beach"
Timur Muslimov
"The Blue Abyss is the calling card of the local resort with the forested Pitsunda massif, the smell of pine needles and the singing of cicadas in season. The very view for photographs opens up on high cliffs, if you go to the right from the beach above. There will be a lot of emotions. The locals scare you with a ban, wild animals, a feral tribe and other evil spirits. In fact, the abyss is accessible to everyone and except for crowds of wild tourists with tents, there is nothing else. Not far from Dzhankhot near the highway there is a road through the forest, which is very treacherous and if you do not know the route, you can go into unknown distances. The steep descent to the beach is not for a park walk in the city. There are a lot of people on the beach itself. The water is clean (the further from populated areas, the cleaner), but at the bottom and the shore itself are huge boulders, and something can fall from above. There is a second road along the coast from Dzhankhot, but in the summer heat it is a pleasure, so you will have to cool off in the sea. There is a third route from Divnomorskoye, but it will definitely not be a tourist one."
