What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Zhane Valley Dolmens to be a unique and memorable experience, offering a glimpse into ancient history and beautiful natural landscapes. While the dolmens themselves are fascinating, the challenging and sometimes poorly marked trails, particularly to the waterfall, are a common point of concern. Some also question the authenticity of certain reconstructed sites.
"Hello! A memorable pastime! Dolmens, waterfalls, burial mounds... Beauty!!! Of course, it would be better if they told you what was what on the tour. There is a very difficult path to the big waterfall along the red marks. There is no information on the route. It is unclear where it is located and how long it is to the end of the route. The road is picturesque, but very extreme. For some reason, they do not warn about this. Cafe "Aphrodite" seems to be promoted."

"Everyone should see a dolmen in their lifetime; they are unique ancient monuments. This is a wonderful opportunity for Russians (in Russia, they only exist in the Caucasus and Crimea). For example, there's one in the Gelendzhik Safari Park. I highly recommend it!"

"After going up the cable car, you can then walk through a very strange park. There you will find a dolmen, strange stones with inscriptions like "stone of happiness", "stone of love", you can leave money on the stones or just touch them, making a wish. Then a huge cast-iron bull, why it is there, I still do not understand, but it is really huge and scary. In the other direction there is also a park and a sign "beware of wild animals". So I am walking and a roe deer comes towards me, at first I thought it was a monument, but it looks at me and moves. But for some reason I did not like its look, you never know what is in its head. It will jump on me. And there is no one around. Well, I left there. Maybe there were other animals there, I do not know. Honestly, the feeling from the walk was strange. I only liked the cable car, because it is high and really scary."
