"The monument is certainly beautiful. And the chapel nearby is beautiful, although it's not a dream—the workers who rebelled weren't, to put it mildly, fond of religion (as they later proved). But churches and chapels are being built everywhere these days, inappropriately and out of place, especially since, I repeat, they're beautiful.
P.S. And also, the monument to the rebellious workers seems, by today's standards, nonsensical—you know how many years they give to those who don't even rebel with weapons, but just throw a plastic cup during a peaceful protest? They're almost shooting them..."

""The memorial to the fighters of the revolution", 1975, combines a round sculpture, architectural forms and painting, reflecting the desire for a symbolic interpretation of historical events, characteristic of the monumental art of that time. Erected at the intersection of three highways, on a gentle embankment, the memorial dominates the space of the central square. On August 23, 1915, one of the largest anti-war demonstrations in Russia was shot here, on the Prikazny Bridge over the Kokuy Stream. In 1924, the victims of the shooting were buried in the park on the square, and in 1940 a temporary obelisk was erected on this site. The existing memorial was opened on May 29, 1975. Its authors - sculptor D. B. Ryabichev, architect E. I. Kutyrev and artist M. I. Malyutin was awarded the USSR State Prize for 1978."

"Nice monument. It’s good that people remember the actions of people who tried to make this world a better place, and the pity for such people is becoming less and less. Which contemporary politician or figure do you think deserves a monument? They, of course, will want it themselves and will implement it when the time comes, at the expense of our taxes. But it wasn’t like that before. Or did it seem like something was wrong? As if there was more truth before. More sincerity and humane dedication of oneself for the benefit of society, country, and family. And now forests are being cut down for sale to China, garbage is being buried on our territories, water is being polluted by emissions from factories... It’s as if we have several planets, or the lives of children and grandchildren are not planned at all..."
