What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Dostoevsky Monument is a significant landmark for literary fans, offering a tangible connection to the author. The adjacent museum provides an artistic exploration of his life and works, though language barriers for tours and the condition of the surrounding area have been noted as drawbacks by some visitors.
"Small but amazing museum. They don't have too many historical items in display but they made great art installation, artists from Saint Petersburg took part. Drawback - amazing excursion is only in Russian as of now (Nov 2019), they plan English audio guides, hopefully it will come true soon. So please check before you go"

"Unfortunately, we didn't visit the museum today (October 19th):
1. A museum employee advised us against visiting the exhibition about Yesenin, the great Russian poet, because it wasn't interesting, and sent us to another building.
2. But we weren't welcome there either...
And by the way, after walking from the bus stop to the museum along Dostoevsky Street, the landscape wasn't exactly welcoming either: weeds, trash, no sign. Thanks to the GPS."
