"I just want to share something important for students planning to study at Ogarev Mordovia State University (Russia).
The official tuition fee for the English-medium MBBS course is around RUB 260,000 to 280,000 per year, and the hostel fee, especially in Hostel 11, is approximately RUB 1,900 per month – these are the rates regulated by the university and the Russian education authorities.
But sadly, many students, including myself and others I know, have faced serious issues with New Era Education (consultancy) /Run by Dharam Kumar .
They completely keep students in the dark. They charge way more than what’s officially required. They take illegal fines, especially on university fee , hostel fees and other areas, and create constant pressure to pay without clear explanations. Even worse – they don’t provide official contracts to students in advance. After reaching Russia, they take our signatures on documents — but never give us our own copy of the contract.
In some cases, they force students to sign papers without proper clarity, and it feels more like mental harassment than support. It's deeply upsetting when you're in a new country, away from your family, and instead of being guided, you're being taken advantage of.
This isn't just about money — it's about trust. About young students being misled when we should be focused on our studies and future.
When a student questions them or tries to stand up for themselves, things start to change in ways that feel deeply unfair. There are whispers that this agency ( Under Mr. Dharam Kumar) has undisclosed connections with university officials, Some students who speak up later mysteriously fail their exams, even when they’ve studied hard and passed internally.
Please, to anyone planning to come here: double-check everything, speak directly with the university, Russian cultural center, and make sure you're not kept in the dark like we were. Don't be afraid to ask questions, and don’t sign anything without full clarity.
