"Nice landmark. Quite a view."

"last week I wanted to take a walk in the middle of the woods, so I parked in the main square of Borgo Maggiore, from here you will have to do a little treasure hunt to reach one of the 2 paths to reach the Porta della Rupe (little clue, from the square you have to go straight towards the mountain); the Passo della Rupe, the starting point is well marked and there is also a map (more known) and the Passo del Titano which is a little more hidden and less known, you can recognize it because the name of the path is written in small letters (towards the end it joins the Passo della Rupe); I chose this one because it has more panoramic points and you can choose whether to do a circle reaching one of the towers and return to the parking lot passing through the city or going back even if some points (if done on the way back) are a little ugly, difficulty: medium in some points easy in many others, comfortable gym shoes are enough."

"Porta della Rupe is a passageway off the beaten tourist track and therefore little-known. Located at the end of the Contrada Omerelli, close to the rocky cliff, it is the only access point to the city from Borgo Maggiore, an ancient road that connected the historic center to the area designated for the weekly market."
