"The date of its founding is unknown. The first mentions date back to Turkish records from 1566 and 1567. The monastery suffered heavy damages and was abandoned during the 16th and 17th century. Since then it was reconstructed. A general reconstruction was undertaken in 1893. Interesting fact: the garden was originally designed by the gardeners who maintain the park in the Versailles. Today it is a women's monastery. It has been declared a cultural monument of great importance. It's accessible by car and parking is free."
