Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Gallery of Matica Srpska for its extensive collection of Serbian art spanning multiple eras and its impressive building. The free admission on Fridays is a significant highlight, and many appreciate the knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff. However, some visitors have encountered unexpected closures due to holidays, emphasizing the need to check opening hours in advance.
"Unfortunately, when we visited the Gallery of Matica Srpska (Галерија Матице српске), it was closed due to the Easter holidays, so we couldn't go inside. Still, the building is impressive from the outside and fits beautifully into the cultural atmosphere of Novi Sad. The area around it is clean and pleasant, and it's easy to reach. We were disappointed to miss the exhibitions, but we definitely plan to come back another time because we've heard great things about it. We recommend checking the opening hours in advance, especially during holiday periods."
