"We loved the walk around the old restored buildings, and I remember the earlier years when hiking, and there was a very nice restaurant run from the main homestead, sadly not operating anymore despite signage still up ?? There also used to be mine tour but it seems that this has also ceased which is sad are there is so much history here of the old gold mining days which I would like to have known more about by way of tour and on site visual. Sadly buildings and grounds are neglected and if not managed loast as with so much in time."

"Wasn't as interesting as I thought it would be. We did the hike and most of it is just hiking up the mountain and then at the end you get to the mines. If you go for the beautiful view from the top of the mountain then it's definitely worth it."
