What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the majestic mountain views, peaceful atmosphere, and excellent value for money in Prince Albert Valley. The friendly staff and well-maintained facilities, including a pool and playground, are frequently praised. Some minor points of contention include the pricing for children and the lack of readily available information on hiking trails.
"We showed up without having made a reservation and stayed at campsite number 1, closest to the road but still quiet enough. The pool and kids jungle gym were nice. We loved the mountain views and hiking trails around. It would have been nice to get some info about them, which has not been provided. Also they had some weird procedures: we found it odd that we had to pay full price for our children (from 4yo), which we never experienced in our 3 months trip through Southern Africa. Also a picture of our ID card was taken without providing reasoning or info on data protection (probably not existent)."

"Camped for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoy the majestic mountain setting, the stars at night and the peace and quiet far from the bustle! Will definitely return to recharge and highly recommend Bushman Valley if you need to relax and destress !"

"My husband and I had an absolutely magical stay at Bushman Valley, camping for two nights. The area is very beautiful, with magnificent mountain views and lots of birds and other wildlife (including baboons!) - yet you are close to Prince Albert if you want to go to a restaurant or to the shops. The campgrounds are spacious and well-cared-for. There is a gorgeous swimming pool with shaded sun loungers, and a lot of other high quality amenities (playground, lapa, etc). There are some short but sweet hikes that you can do from the site. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. It feels like someone has put a lot of thought and care into every detail. We just loved it here! Plus, it is excellent value for money. We can’t wait to come back!"
