What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Dalseong Park is appreciated for its spacious green areas, offering a peaceful escape from Daegu's urban environment. However, significant concerns are raised about the welfare of animals in the zoo, with many visitors noting small enclosures and signs of distress. The park also features a popular mural dedicated to BTS member Kim Taehyung.
"First off, for other reviewers to start pointing fingers that people like to see animals suffer, KAREN, shut up! So sick of your woke speeches. However, you do have the right to say what you want like I have the right to criticize you lot as well.
Continuing with some other negativity, yes many animals here seems depressed. Some of the exhibitions are very small. This zoo definitely needs to get a overhaul. Happy animals will help attract more people! The logistics and use of this amazing park is very neglected. I hope to see changes in the future.
On the positive side, the park itself holds great potential. It is also an amazing spot to get away from the busy markets and streets of the city center. For other people's who consider to visit in the future, I suggest you to stay in the front part of the park. Especially if you have a hard time to watch animals in crampt small spaces.
Howere, I do rate and I do recommend peopke to visit this lovely park. The Zoo set aside, this park is just amazing and definitely worth a visit."

"The animals are clearly suffering, malnourished. The view is heartbreaking: the monkeys are cathatonicly chew the bars, the vulture buddy is dying, the eagle is looking sad and depressed on the bottom of his cage which is smaller than a student dorm room. The lions were not out, but we heard their crying for minutes. In Europe, but especially in my country, this place would have been closed immediately if not by the authorities, the people would have done it. My heart goes out for those poor animals who are or were here..... I was not too far from crying after saw the vulture.... Justice for these animals! Somebody please save them!"

"It's another park in Daegu that I really like because this park has a zoo as well. There are many kinds of animals to see, walk around, and enjoy the view. And most importantly, right now the green of the trees contrasts with the color of the sky. It's really nice to go see in the evening. sunset walking jogging. It's fun to walk around and there are lots of places to take photos because in this park, when taking photos, you can see a view of the building.📸😄"
