"Amazon well preserved location with a ton of history and you can feel the feelings of human suffering over the years that occurred. Most of the written descriptions also had English translations which was much appreciated. Some of the videos in the historical prison cells however were Korean audio only with no English subtitles which was a missed opportunity. Easy to buy tickets outside using the automated machines that accept foreign credit cards."

You don't really need a tour guide, most of the places inside have information written on them usually available in Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese and German. Some of the scenes are depicted by life size dummies and can be graphical. Not very suitable for younger children."
