What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Seosaeng Fishing Village is praised for its detailed and authentic recreation of a 1930s Korean town, offering a unique historical immersion. Visitors appreciate the intricate decorations and the opportunity to learn about the area's whaling past, especially when combined with the Whale Museum. However, some feel the village alone might not justify the entrance fee, and the presence of stairs requires comfortable footwear.
"Free parking WITH THE QR CODE you get after purchasing your tickets for the wale museum. We got the tickets with the total package and it was around 9,000 won or so. Not expensive at all. Like 5/6 dollars."

"Whale Cultural Village (장생포 고래문화마을) is an extremely unique, interactive and informative place to visit if you're in Ulsan. It is like a mock up (imitation) of old Korean town back in the 1930s (a mock up night club says "no entrance to those born later than 1955"; refer to one of my attached photos).
It felt spectacular walking along the past, and made me appreciate the current time that I am living in. My parents loved the photos I took here. All I can say is, we are lucky to be alive now at this period of Earth, where things are much more advanced and modernised.
I highly recommend visiting this attraction if you're in Ulsan."

"Nice village, nothing special really. Only good thing is the yummy ice cream shop. I don’t think it’s worth the entrance fees. Better to go to the nearby whale museum."
