What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Cap Negret offers a beautiful beachfront location with excellent service and spacious rooms, making it a romantic getaway for many. However, some guests find the hotel to be expensive, citing high drink prices, crowded pool areas, and a rocky beach as drawbacks. The lack of free water refill stations is also a common complaint.
"We had a fantastic time at Cap Negret, my wife and I arrived at the hotel and approached the customer service desk staff in reception for information on Altea after checking in. I was asked the purpose of the visit and told them it was a short break, celebrating our wedding anniversary, as we had wanted to visit Altea for a while, after a short discussion about places to visit we left. We were surprised when an hour later, someone from the customer support team knocked on the door and presented us with an ice bucket containing a bottle of prosecco and two glasses as well as a short accompanying note congratulating us and wishing us a pleasant stay. The hotel itself was incredible, beautifully situated on the beachfront with immaculate attention to detail in all parts of the hotel. The outside is a haven, lying between the palm trees listening to waves lapping on the shore. Every member of staff were warm welcoming and professional at all times. We will definitely be returning, thank you.

"Very expensive hotel for what is offered.
We expected this hotel to be a real luxury stop while on a road trip travelling around Spain. Wouldn’t stay here again, long queue for the bars, very expensive drinks, crowded pool area with poor availability of sun loungers. Very rocky beach but right on the beach front. The hotel has its good parts but some not so great too, most of the rooms are identical inside, the heavily inflated room upgrade costs depends purely on which way your room is orientated towards the sea. No drinking water refill locations, and water is billed at €1.50 for a 500ml bottle. The hotel set directly on the seafront is very nice, but overall it wasn’t what we were expecting for the price paid. We have stayed at more “basic”, lower star and much cheaper hotels while on this trip which had all the same facilities and amenities this hotel has. I think the pool area could be bigger in comparison to the number of guests. It was nice, but the cost (€550 for two nights!) would put us off staying here again."

"All-inclusive hotel on the seaside. Perfect location. There’s no need to leave the hotel and if you want to visit the old city, the hotel offers free shuttle service. They also have a big pool, a gym and entertainment at night. A delicious buffet Breakfast is included and for an extra fee you can include buffet dinner. Value for money it’s pretty good and they are definitely kid-friendly. The negatives: 1. They take way too long to do a simple check in. 2. They don’t offer any place to refill water. Free water should be the minimum. Tap water in seaside towns in Spain is not recommended. 3. If you place your towels on the beach beds they take them away. 4. Service people at the pool giving the towels are not polite at all. 5. You can change your pool towel only every 3 days!?"
