What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find La Reina Bastion a picturesque and atmospheric spot, especially in spring with its blooming gardens. While the historic walls are well-maintained and offer lovely views, some guests have noted a significant issue with unpleasant odors in the lookout tower. Despite this, the overall beauty and historical significance make it a worthwhile visit for many.
"This corner of the Hondarribia walls is picturesque, with green gardens and wildflowers in the spring time. However, the very corner look out tower (big enough for only two or three people to stand in) has been used as a urinal (people or dogs or both, I don’t want to think about it). Even on a cool day, the smell is grotesque. If the city authorities can be prevailed upon to clean it, it would return this site to being a much more pleasurable experience."
