Visitors rave about the stunning, unspoiled natural beauty of Jandía Natural Park, particularly Cofete Beach, with its dramatic mountains and vast sands. The raw, desert-like landscape and ocean views are consistently praised. However, the challenging access roads, especially to Cofete, and strong winds are frequently mentioned drawbacks.
"Beautiful location and nature we rentes a 4x4 for the terrain because this was recommended because in some areas car rental dont have insurance because of the rough conditions. Conditions are not that rough I have to say and a small car is possible as well. Saying that after experiencing a rainy day there whit mud. The nature is beautiful with lots of places to stop and pet some goats"
Rick Alting
"Beautiful walk on the beach to see the chipmunks, lovely gold sand, and blue sea. It can be very windy, so the sand can sting a bit when it's flying at you. Be aware there are a lot of nudists on this beach, which some people may love, but it isn't for everyone. It was well worth the walk to see the chipmunks, they were very cute."

Exploring Cofete Beach: The Untamed Paradise
Once you arrive, prepare for a powerful natural spectacle. The beach is known for its strong Atlantic waves, making it a dramatic sight but generally not ideal for swimming for casual visitors. Be mindful that parts of Cofete are frequented by nudists, which is a common characteristic of some Fuerteventura beaches.
For photographers, Cofete offers unparalleled opportunities. The interplay of light and shadow on the mountains, the vastness of the beach, and the dynamic ocean create stunning visual compositions. The best times for photography are during the golden hours of sunrise and sunset, when the landscape is bathed in warm, dramatic light. Remember to pack essentials like water, snacks, and sun protection, as facilities are minimal to non-existent in this remote paradise.
