Visitors rave about the stunning beauty of Grandes Playas, praising its expansive golden sands, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and the dramatic backdrop of the sand dunes. The consistent wind is a highlight for watersports enthusiasts, and many appreciate the ample space and free parking. However, some note the water can be cold and the wind intensely strong, recommending layers and utilizing natural shelters for comfort.
"Crystal clear water, clean sandy beach, plenty of space, not too overcrowded. What people don’t mention here though is how MADLY WINDY it gets here and how the WATER IS COLD. We couldn’t stand the cold wind and after being in cold water for 5 minutes and shaking while lying on the beach we moved our stuff into one of those rocky shelters, where it was bearable.
We didn’t stay there much longer after anyway, as the sun was nowhere in sight. Just so you are prepared and maybe take more layers with you on your visit."

"Take the time to visit the Grandes Playas of Corralejo, located at the very north of Fuerteventura. Stunning beaches, crystal-clear turquoise waters – a true refreshment for the senses. The beaches are wide, spacious, and never overcrowded. The steady wind makes it a perfect spot for surfing and kitesurfing. There's a wonderful energy at the beach – people enjoying themselves, soaking up the sun, the wind, and simply life. The long, wide stretch of beach flows into sweeping dunes and continues on into the hilly, mountainous inland landscape."

"Easy to park by side of the road for free.
Huge dunes. Very windy. Popular with wind surfers and similar.
There are bins but no other facilities (no toilets/cafes)."
