What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Lazareto Island offers a unique historical journey with a fascinating past as a quarantine station. Visitors appreciate the island's well-preserved state and the dedicated efforts of volunteers. However, some find the admission fee steep given the limited services, particularly the lack of readily available water and snacks on hot days.
"Very peaceful place, interesting history and who doesn’t like a little boat ride to an island? But also, it’s not 2.5hours worth of interesting on a 90+degree day without water offered until you’re almost 1.5hrs in and no ability to even buy a snack. I brought water and a sun hat but many people didn’t and were really suffering. The website is just terrible and should be improved generally plus telling people how to be prepared based on lack of services. This place has an interesting history but the grounds aren’t that exciting and 15€ is way too much for what should really be a free experience. Go for a concert instead-probably way more fun."
