What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Guests praise the Parador de Olite for its stunning location within a historic castle and the friendly, helpful staff. The architecture and ambiance are frequently highlighted as major draws. However, some visitors note issues with room comfort, particularly the chairs, and occasional problems with breakfast service or restaurant experiences.
"if you love a more classic look, you'll enjoy this hotel.
spacious interiors, with a 19th century feel.
the lounge music can occasionally be annoying as well.
on the minus side, the chairs are somewhat uncomfortable, especially in the rooms, if you have some business to attend to, you're better off doing it in the lounge.
the staff are very friendly and helpful, and deserves the utmost praise."

"Paradors are very well located in prestigious buildings and this one is no exception. But food is still desperately not at the right level and it is amazing that after 40 years in my experience, it has not improved. Maybe they should use the experience of neighbouring local chefs to improve their standards and learn them basic seasoning and cooking techniques..."

"The place is beautiful and well located. The reception ladies were super friendly and helpful. The architecture reminds a lot of a real castle and its super well equiped/adapted for the present.
Problems:
bad acoustic - there was a machine gun sleeper in the room next to us and we could not just hear everything super loud, it was causing a mini earthquake on the room (lol not kidding, i couldnt sleep).
bad server at the breakfast - It was a youngish lady on the breakfast and a midle aged guy. I asked for a spanish tortilla with ram. This pictures is what i got (no potato, no tortila shape). I asked the lady to change because that was not tortilla, she was rude and insisted it was LOL. Maybe she think because im asian i wont know. But it was clear, especialy because the table next to us had a real tortilla on their table (super different from this omelet). Id like to understand from the Parador manager: IS THIS A TORTILLA? Or maybe you need to FIRE this bad educated and bad humored raci### waiter.
Im asian but I live in Europe and I have eaten thousands of tortillas, I know my way around tortillas. She was super quick to assume im stupid and wouldnt notice"
