What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Guests consistently praise the Parador de Oropesa for its stunning historic castle setting, offering a unique and immersive experience. The breathtaking mountain views from the restaurant and veranda, coupled with excellent service and well-appointed rooms, make for a memorable stay. Some minor wear and tear is noted due to the building's age, and the seasonal pool may not be open year-round.
"Handily next to the castle, the interiors are fantastic - imposing rooms, well decorated. A lovely veranda to have drinks on and the dining room has fantastic view of the mountains. We had a junior suite which had its own outdoor seating area. Food and service very good."

"DISCLAIMER: My review is based solely on my shower experience at the hotel. I give this shower a 9.5/10.
First, it features both an overhead shower and a retractable handheld showerhead, which, for me, is a must-have. Second, the water pressure is excellent—strong and consistent. The temperature range is impressive, and the water gets remarkably hot, even during a freezing December, which I personally love.
Additionally, the shower is stocked with full-sized bottles of shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner, conveniently mounted on the wall for easy access and provided in generous quantities.
As a bonus, the handheld showerhead offers multiple spray settings, adjustable with a simple turn—a fantastic feature.
The only reason this shower isn’t a perfect 10/10 is the visible wear and tear, which is understandable given the hotel is housed in a literal castle."

"Very nice Paradores in Oropesa, and pleasantly surprised. You literally live in an old castle with its large, beautiful halls. We had a standard room which fully met our expectations. Spacious and neat, everything in the bathroom as desired. Breakfast and dinner are extremely well prepared and there is a choice for everyone's taste. In the restaurant you have a fantastic view of the plain and the mountains in the background. It is recommended to enjoy the aperitif with a view of the castle, where there is a pleasant atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The castle of Oropesa borders the hotel, after a short evening walk you arrive in the center where there is not much to do. A small downside is that the swimming pool was not yet open in mid-May."
