What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Camí de Muleta for its breathtaking sunset views, peaceful mountain atmosphere, and its convenient location on the GR221 trail. The staff is frequently commended for being friendly and helpful, contributing to a pleasant and clean stay. However, some guests have expressed disappointment regarding the refusal of basic services like showers for non-guests, and difficulty reaching the refuge by phone.
"i'm sure the refugio itself is fine, BUT:
i've never had a hostel, mountain hut or any other refugio turn me away after me asking for just a shower and a water refill in exchange for a couple of euros. in the mountaineering and hiking community, this is honestly just common courtesy, so i was quite shocked when they not only didn't allow me to sleep outside due to the full dorm, but also refused me basic hiking needs in return for money.
also: i called them before this to check, nobody picked up, nobody called back. as i said, probably not a bad place, just very disappointing sportsmanship."
