While some areas like the pool and grounds could use minor updates, the overall experience is described as amazing and a highlight of trips to Spain.
"Amazing place to stay for rest, relaxation and cultural experiences on your doorstep. Cave houses are spacious, well equipped and perfect temperature inside. Lovely big pool for hot days and tasty food at the restaurant."
Siobhan Lunn
"Why not 5*... The grounds, BBQ area and swimming pool in front of cave rooms needs a little bit of TLC. The cave apartments have everything you need and we're spotless, the host Manuel was very engaging, funny and offered good advice about the surrounding area."
Anthony Kershaw
"Staying in the cave hotel was the highlight of our trip to Spain! The large suite was with fireplace, dining area and kitchen was beyond our expectations. It was really lovely and the kitchen was outfitted with everything we needed. The host even provided some food and coffee. Stunning setting. One day an employee of the hotel rounded up all the guests to go for a tour of the cave museum on the property, and one night the host rounded us all up again to drive up to the top of a mountain to watch the sunset. This is the Spanish Badlands and the views were spectacular. Not too far from Grenada but not close enough that we wanted to make more than one day trip to there. Not far is the town of Guadix which I'd recommend for anyone interested in cave life. About a third of the population in Guadix live in caves and there is another good museum there. Loved this portion of our trip! There is a nice pool but we didn't have time to use it."
