The guided tours are frequently described as excellent, with knowledgeable guides enhancing the experience. "A timeless jewelry. I enjoyed very much the guided tour. You should ask at the entrance at which hours they have the English version tour. All the tours are guided, but in Catalounian or English (and French? Not sure). Also you can't take pictures in every room so I will post just what I could photograph. It was a very well designed house and with some features that seemed ahead of its time. The ticket it was a little bit too expensive for me, 16€, but it was worth it."

Ivona Octavia Laiu

"Very pretty and our guide was excellent offering both English and Spanish. We were told not to take pictures for the majority of the tour besides a few select spots, but it was still a very enjoyable experience."

Gwendolyn Lindberg

In-depth insights and expert knowledge

The Architectural Genius of Lluís Domènech i Montaner

Casa Navàs stands as a testament to the brilliance of Lluís Domènech i Montaner, a leading figure of Catalan Modernism. Commissioned by the wealthy merchant Joaquim Navàs, the mansion was built between 1901 and 1908. Domènech i Montaner's design philosophy was deeply rooted in nature, evident in the flowing lines, floral motifs, and the use of vibrant colors throughout the house. He aimed to create a harmonious living space that was both functional and aesthetically stunning. Instagram

The building's facade is a striking example of Art Nouveau, characterized by its ornate balconies, intricate stonework, and the prominent use of stained glass. Inside, this naturalistic inspiration continues, with every detail, from the furniture to the light fixtures, meticulously designed to complement the overall aesthetic. The mansion was intended not just as a residence but also as a shop on the ground floor, reflecting the commercial spirit of Reus at the time. Instagram

What truly sets Casa Navàs apart is its remarkable state of preservation. Unlike many modernist buildings that have undergone significant renovations, Casa Navàs has retained its original interior, offering visitors an unparalleled opportunity to step back in time and experience the opulence and artistry of the early 20th century. This authenticity is a key reason for its designation as a cultural heritage site. Instagram+1
