"Lovely little church in the middle of La Palma. Like most churches it's lavished with gold, fancy artworks and plenty of carved statues and ornaments. Worth checking out. But like others say, Church's are slowly becoming tourist attractions rather than being used as their sole purpose."

"Beautiful little church! I respect the fact that the Catholic church loves to make individual works of art in every building, which makes them all wonderful to look at, but I don't believe that it is bringing people to God or helping people into heaven. After endless years of building and pouring money into these places, some of them taking literally 100 years to build, most of them turn into museums. That does not pour into God's kingdom. A church building should be nothing more than a meeting place that Christians can go to where they can grow as Christians by learning about God through His word so they can grow spiritually. If the money and effort put into these buildings is more artistic than practical, it is poor stewardship of the money that God has blessed the church with."

"This Cathedral is worth the walk to come and see. We arrived as they prepared for the Good Friday celebrations, so much activity that made the trip even more special. There are lots of steps to get to to enter, inside a World of God, gold shrines and high ceilings. They do look after this church in keeping with the old and traditional. Well recommended a visit."
