What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the monastery's magnificent interior and art collection, often finding it more impressive and less crowded than the Cathedral. However, the ticketing system and inconsistent opening hours are significant drawbacks that require careful planning.
"Do not visit. The whole ticket system is a scam. You can’t buy a ticket at the monastery. They said you need to go online to buy a ticket, but the internet was slow and I was unable to go, even though I was at the door."
G Mac10
"Very beautiful! I would recommend looking at the hours before you go."
Ashley Medlin
"The place itself is magnificent BUT!!!! the ticket system and opening hours are a disaster. I also see from the pictures of visitors from some time ago that we were not let in to many places they could see, basically we could visit the church and the inner court of the monastery- nothing else. So, do go there, but plan ahead, get your cathedral museum tickets first, don't leave it for the afternoon, and then enjoy what you're allowed to enjoy!"
